Today, I taught a Physical Chemistry (Electrochemistry) laboratory class for third-year undergraduate students together with the TAs, Arita-san and Hashimura-san.
To be honest, I was very nervous since last night. This was the first time I had ever taught a class in Japanese. I prepared a script and practiced it many times before the lesson.
At the beginning, I was a little nervous, but as the class progressed, I gradually became more comfortable. During the morning session, I introduced the basic concepts of electrochemistry and explained the experimental procedures. In the afternoon, the TAs guided the students through the experiments.
The experiment finished much earlier than I had expected—around 2:00 PM. Everything went smoothly, and the students seemed to follow the instructions well.
Anyway, it was my first lesson in Japanese, so I think it is worth celebrating. A memorable milestone!
