Septemper 9, 2026 – The 138th CATSJ Meeting

I attended the 138th CATSJ Meeting (第138回触媒討論会) held at Kumamoto University with two of my students. It was a great opportunity to learn from researchers working in the same field and to exchange ideas with the catalysis community.

I was especially impressed by “easyXAFS,” a company founded by Professor Gerald Seidler from the University of Washington. Their approach to making XAFS more accessible was very inspiring. I hope that new technologies like this can soon become more widely available and easier for researchers to use.
